When is Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
This year, Black Friday is on 28 November and Cyber Monday is on 1 December. Black Friday is always the fourth Friday in November, one day after Thanksgiving in the US. Cyber Monday is always the Monday after Black Friday.
Like other discounted products, Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband deals aren’t normally reserved for just these two days. Most broadband providers start unveiling their Black Friday deals a couple of weeks in advance, so you’ve got plenty of opportunity to snag a great deal on your next tariff.

Use our broadband speed checker to test how fast your current internet connection is.
Are Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband deals available where you live?
Be sure to use our postcode checker to see the plans and providers available where you live.
There are plenty of alternative network providers (altnets) that operate in specific locations, too. So depending on where you live, you might be able to access deals that aren’t available elsewhere. Community Fibre and Hyperoptic operate in London, while Fibrus covers Cumbria and Northern Ireland and Trooli serves Southampton and other parts of South East England.
Can I get Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband deals with fibre technology?
Yes. The majority of broadband plans come with fibre technology, so most Black Friday broadband deals will use fibre.
Recently, fibre broadband has seen rapid growth throughout the UK. According to Ofcom’s Connected Nations Update: Spring 2025 , full fibre broadband is now available to 22.5 million UK households (74%). Superfast broadband, sometimes referred to as part fibre, remains steady at 97% nationwide coverage.
This means you’re more likely to find Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband deals with fibre technology than any other type of internet connection
Can I get Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband deals with a phone line?
Yes. It’s likely that you’ll be able to get a Black Friday broadband deal that comes with a phone line. But you don’t have to get a landline if you don’t need one. While some broadband providers need a landline to deliver their service, others don’t. For example, established operators like BT and Virgin Media offer broadband only deals, with the latter using its own independent cable network to get you connected. On the other hand, all Sky broadband tariffs include a home phone as standard.
If you don’t want a phone line or home phone, compare broadband without landline deals.
Can I get Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband deals with a TV?
Yes, there are lots of Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband and TV deals available this year. If you’re currently paying separate bills for TV and broadband, switching to a bundle deal is more convenient and could even help you save money in the long run, especially if you bag a Black Friday bargain.

How to choose Black Friday and Cyber Monday broadband deals
1. Get the speed you need
For basic online tasks like checking emails or browsing social media, you might not need to pay extra for the fastest speeds. But if you have a household full of people who game, stream or work from home, faster broadband could help you all enjoy a smoother experience.
2. Decide whether you want any extras
Lots of broadband providers include extras, such as TV channels, as a way of attracting customers during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. Just make sure they’re extras you actually want, especially if you’re paying for them.
3. See what perks are available
Some broadband providers include complimentary gift vouchers and other perks as part of their Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. But don’t be won over by this alone. You want to make sure you’re happy with your broadband deal long after you’ve spent your voucher.
4. Check the full cost of your contract
Consider the cost of the whole contract, not just how much you pay each month. If you think it’s too expensive, you might want to consider short-term or no contract broadband deals.
5. Check if you can switch immediately
Check your current contract to see if you can switch during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. If you’re halfway through an existing contract, your provider will charge you an early termination fee, which could wipe out any savings you’d make from a new deal. But if you’re out of contract, switching for free shouldn’t be a problem. Just confirm with your new provider if you’ll need to pay costs for setting up a replacement broadband router and other similar tech.
Are there Christmas broadband deals?
Switching broadband deals at Christmas could mean you miss out on more generous Black Friday and Cyber Monday bargains. If you’re free to switch tariffs at the end of November, it’s a good idea to start shopping around straight away so you can take advantage of some exclusive deals. If you’re still in contract but want to switch, make sure the money you’d save on a Black Friday or Cyber Monday broadband deal doesn’t just go on paying the early cancellation fee from your current provider

Is it easy to switch broadband providers during Black Friday?
Yes. As long as you’re out of contract with your current provider, it’s just as easy to switch your broadband during Black Friday as it is at any other time of year. Start by comparing our Black Friday deals to find one that suits your needs and your budget.
Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is follow the link to the deal on the provider’s website and complete the sign-up process. If you need an engineer, you’ll be given the option to book that at a time that works for you.
And that’s all you need to do to change broadband providers. Thanks to One Touch Switch, you don’t need to let your old provider know you’re leaving. Your new provider does that for you. Once your new contract starts, you’ll have a 14-day cooling-off period, so you can cancel penalty-free in the first two weeks if you change your mind.
FAQs
Is Cyber Monday cheaper than Black Friday deals?
It’s hard to say for certain but based on previous years, we’d expect to see similar if not the same broadband deals over the whole of the Black Friday weekend. That’s because broadband isn’t a physical product, so providers don’t need to use Cyber Monday to shift unsold stock.
Having said this, some Black Friday deals are limited, so if you see a deal you like it’s best to snap it up, rather than waiting until Cyber Monday.
Is it worth waiting for Black Friday broadband deals?
No. If you’re out of contract with your broadband provider, the best time to switch is always right now. That’s because providers increase your monthly costs significantly once your minimum term is up. So if you’re out of contract, you’re almost certainly paying a lot more than you need to for your internet.
Compare our best broadband deals now to see if you can find faster speeds for less than you’re currently paying.
