A good choice for broadband in South East England, Trooli has been gaining popularity as a provider of full fibre to the premises (FTTP) home internet.
But could Trooli broadband be the right network for you?
See if you can find Trooli broadband deals based on your household needs with Go.Compare.
What is Trooli broadband?
One of the many 'altnets', or alternative internet providers, springing up throughout the UK right now, Trooli joins companies like Fibrus in paving the way for more competitive broadband deals.
By building its own full fibre network and moving away from the copper wire infrastructure of ADSL and part-fibre broadband, Trooli can provide homes where the infrastructure is in place with fast internet speeds similar to those of big-name networks.
Currently operating across the South of England, and based in the South East, Trooli broadband aims to increase broadband accessibility throughout this area of the country, especially in more rural communities.
Who owns Trooli broadband?
Trooli broadband has recently been acquired by French infrastructure investors Elie Nammar and Maxime Buisson of Vauban, under a newly established company called Agnar UK Infrastructure Ltd.
The acquisition of Trooli by Vauban will help expand the network's reach even further across the United Kingdom over the next few years.
Trooli broadband packages
All Trooli broadband packages come with a 24-month contract as standard.
As well as promising ultrafast speeds, a Wi-Fi plus signal booster is available with the fastest Trooli broadband product.
However, you can buy one of these separately for another package if you want.
Another thing to remember is that right now, Trooli is a broadband only company, so if you're looking to get the most out of your home phone, it's probably best to opt for a different provider.
Trooli broadband speeds
As a fibre to the premises provider, Trooli broadband only delivers ultrafast-capable connections.
However, keep in mind that your actual broadband speed will depend on a variety of outside factors, including:
- Where you live
- How many people you live with who are also using the internet
- What you use the internet for, e.g. streaming, working from home, online gaming etc.
Use our broadband speed test to determine how well your current home internet is performing.
Trooli broadband prices
Compared to providers of the same size offering similar tariffs, Trooli broadband deals may actually work out more cost-effective month on month.
Of course, this will depend on any extras other providers offer, as Trooli don't tend to give much by way of incentives.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Trooli broadband deals almost double in price after being with them for several months.
Before switching providers, make sure you compare Trooli with other networks to make sure they're offering the best value for your broadband needs.
Is Trooli broadband any good?
Trooli broadband currently has a 4.7 rating on Trustpilot, with 85% of reviews being five stars.
This shows an ongoing commitment to maintaining customer satisfaction, as well as consistency in offering good broadband services.
Trooli broadband Wi-Fi router
Trooli broadband uses Wi-Fi 6 technology to deliver a smooth home internet experience, particularly if your household often has multiple people online at the same time.
Combining a main router with extender devices, Trooli aims to deliver guaranteed ultrafast speeds throughout your household.
However, the actual speed you receive will depend at least partly on the router's performance within your home.
